I'm Michael Dykhorst, I am originally from Sheridan, Wyoming. My family background is a unique blend, with my father being born in South Africa and my mother proudly Wyoming-born. This makes me a first-generation American on my father's side and a third-generation Wyomingite on my mother's.

My educational journey led me through the Sheridan public school system, culminating in my graduation from Sheridan High School in 2011. Post-graduation, I discovered my passion for history and genealogy, which led me to a position at the prestigious Wyoming Room within the Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library. During my five-year tenure there, I was fortunate to seize incredible opportunities, and it was during this time that I authored and co-authored several local history books.
